  1. I wish they would audit Sooke. Our plan defined the major Emergency positions to be filled from the Staff in the District office. After the great purge and most of the Staff was replaced, it was reported by the ESS group that there are no staff members who have attended BC Emergency Management training! Under the mandate from the Auditor General Sooke is liable for damages from the result of a major disaster if they don’t have a functioning Emergency plan and trained Police, Fire and Ambulance. In the past the CAO was the Emergency Director. If we can find her we should ask her how the training is going.
