The Otter Point Fire Department posted the following on their Facebook page. Bottom line: It’s full steam ahead at Camp Barnard for tonight!
“The Otter Point Fire members were up early this morning and out setting up at Camp Barnard in preparation for tonight’s Halloween celebrations. Wet and windy this morning, but already the weather is looking better for tonight. We will have lots to keep you warm; bonfire, hot dogs, hot chocolate, hot coffee. Hope to see you there.”
The Sooke fire chief Steven Sorensen sent out the following tweet this morning:
Due to the weather today, Safe Halloween is moving into the #sooke fire station so that everyone can stay dry. Fireworks still at 8:00 pm.
