When life gives you lemons, do you suck it up?
We recently learned of a Job Seeker who completed a five-day written test (for an entry level job). This test took about 12 hours to complete. Thirty-six (36) candidates were tested. Generously assuming most candidates were faster than our Job Seeker, we figured 10 hours per candidate. That means a staggering 360 hours (the equivalent of nine (9) 40-hour work weeks) of people’s time were consumed by this test.
That liberal consumption of people’s time had us at SPN reeling. To that end, we’ve put together a survey. Have you completed a test lately? If you’ve recently completed a pre-interview screening test for a job, we want to hear from you.
Below is a 12-question survey about your job search, which you can also complete on SurveyMonkey here. We’re curious about what you, the Job Seeker, thinks of the current process.
If you have a few minutes to spare, please complete this questionnaire. No questions are mandatory, so skip what you want. There are no re-do’s. Once we have substantial responses, we will post results.
