There is now a wind warning for Sooke. The deluge has been downgraded.
Environment Canada no longer has a rain alert; instead, it is warning of strong winds gusting from 90 km and up. Google maps suggest that the West Coast of Vancouver Island will be affected by strong winds as well.
The Sooke PocketNews Weather page is still calling for rain, at 80%.
Following is the alert from Environment Canada.
