As announced earlier on SPN (and pretty well everywhere throughout Sooke), Annie is coming to town. I had the distinct pleasure of watching the final dress rehearsal, where I took over 1,200 photographs. Don’t worry, I’ve narrowed it down to the best 30 (below).
This is a production like none other that has graced the EMCS stage here in Sooke.
Over the years, the caliber of performance has steadily improved. Theatre in Sooke is no longer a friends-and-family-support-it affair. I promise you, if you can get out to see a performance of Annie (playing between November 25 and December 4 at EMCS), you will not be disappointed.
The following photos will give you some idea of the work that has gone into costume, set design acting caliber and choreography. What they do not provide is the quality of sound (much improved), and the tremendous work that has gone one behind the scenes.
Tickets for Annie are on sale now at Shoppers Drug Mart (Sooke & Langford) Stick in the Mud, and at the EMCS Program Office. Tickets are also available online at Victoria Tickets, using the links below.
