Eligible non-profit organizations can now apply for the next round of human and social services community gaming grants funded by the Government of British Columbia.
The deadline for applications is Nov. 30, 2015. Applicants will be notified regarding the status of their application by Feb. 29, 2016.[sam id=”15″ codes=”true”]Human and social services community gaming grants help support the work of local agencies and clubs that deliver important social services to British Columbians facing challenging and difficult situations.
During fiscal year 2014-15, approximately $66.7 million in community gaming grants was provided to human and social service organizations, including food banks, hospice societies, hospital auxiliaries, counselling services and wellness providers.
Every year, the Government of British Columbia approves $135 million in community gaming grants distributed among specific sectors, including arts and culture, sport, environment, public safety, human and social services, parent advisory councils and district parent advisory councils.
