BC Ferries announced that early morning and late evening savings are back for the upcoming holiday travel period. This pricing gives customers the opportunity to save significantly on more than 260 select sailings on routes between Metro Vancouver – Vancouver Island and Metro Vancouver – Sunshine Coast over the upcoming holiday season.
From December 21 to January 3, BC Ferries is offering standard under-height vehicle and driver travel from $39, a 48 per cent savings, on select sailings between Tsawwassen – Swartz Bay, Tsawwassen – Duke Point and Horseshoe Bay – Departure Bay, and at $39 return-trip, a 44 per cent savings, between Horseshoe Bay – Langdale.
“Holiday Savings offers customers an attractive travel opportunity for discounts on less busy early morning and late evening sailings,” said Janet Carson, BC Ferries’ Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience. “This is one of our busiest travel periods of the year. Earlier sailings create more availability for all customers.”
From December 22 to 28, BC Ferries has also added capacity during the busy holiday period, with an extra 16 early morning and late evening sailings on the Tsawwassen – Swartz Bay route, providing travel options earlier or later to avoid the popular peak travel periods. The extra sailing times are 6 a.m., 10 p.m. and midnight.
“BC Ferries recommends customers make a reservation, which are just $10 if booked seven days or more in advance,” said Carson. “We lowered the cost of reservations earlier this year so more people can guarantee their preferred travel time.”
