Choose from select early morning and late evening sailings from $39 for vehicle and driver
BC Ferries announced today that early morning and late evening savings are back for the Thanksgiving travel period.
This promotion gives customers the opportunity to save significantly on more than 100 select early morning and late evening sailings on routes between Metro Vancouver – Vancouver Island and Metro Vancouver – Sunshine Coast over the long weekend.
From October 5 to 10, BC Ferries is offering standard under-height vehicle and driver fares from $39 on select sailings between Tsawwassen – Swartz Bay, Tsawwassen – Duke Point and Horseshoe Bay – Departure Bay, and at $39 return-trip between Horseshoe Bay – Langdale.
This holiday travellers discount is intended to move more traffic to less busy sailings, thereby creating more availability for other customers during the rest of the day.
On October 6 and October 9, the busiest days of the Thanksgiving long weekend, BC Ferries has added 6:00 a.m. and midnight sailings on the Swartz Bay – Tsawwassen route to allow customers to take advantage of savings by travelling earlier or later to avoid the congested peak mid-day travel periods. Early 6:00 a.m. sailings included in the promotion are also available on October 7 and October 10 on the Swartz Bay – Tsawwassen route.
Space on the promotional sailings is on a first-come, first-served basis. BC Ferries recommends customers make a reservation to guarantee travel at the time of their choice. Reservations are just $10 if booked seven days or more in advance.

Since you’re here, we have a small favour to ask.
At 1.7 million page views over the past year, more people than ever are reading SPN. We had hoped advertising local services and events would sustain this service, but that has not come to pass. Advertising revenues are falling; status quo is unsustainable. Readers, please consider a small monthly donation. This can help secure the future of SPN. Business owners: Please consider an ad. More than massive local exposure, you will also be affiliated with an independent business that is 100% local, 99% paperless, and highly valued by the 98%. That’s priceless.
