Cold Arctic air continues its blast through BC, snow in Sooke’s future
Arctic air continues to move throughout BC.
Following a relatively mild first half of winter, a transition to much colder conditions continues throughout BC. Cold Arctic air over the BC interior will continue to flow towards the BC coast.
Temperatures over Interior regions will be 10 to 20 degrees below the seasonal average, while coastal areas will be 5 to 10 degrees below seasonal, making for the coldest conditions seen this season. The frigid conditions will persist for the remainder of the week.
In addition, there’s a possibility of snow in Sooke in the wee hours tomorrow of February 10, 2021, and periodically again from Thursday through Sunday.
