–CRD in the news
The Capital Regional District (CRD) is undertaking a project to identify areas with high natural values that represent the diversity of landscapes in the region and have the potential for connecting with existing parks and protected areas.
The CRD is engaging with First Nations, government agencies, stakeholders and the public to share our landscape mapping and evaluation.
CRD staff hope to learn more about the natural values of this landscape and to find opportunities to incorporate local knowledge, public values and interests into the analysis.
This project will identify priority areas for potential future regional parks, focusing on lands west of the Sooke River within the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area. The information collected during this engagement process will be used to inform this work.
To share values and interests for potential parks and protected areas in this region, please visit the website.
The deadline for input is January 13, 2019.
