I feel like everything is falling apart.
When you feel like everything is falling apart, it is actually a good place to be, because, in fact, things feel like they are falling apart, because it is time for everything to fall together.
Life can feel really hard when things seem to be constantly falling apart, and life is simply not working for you.
You can get stuck in the idea that you will never… have another partner, a better job, better health a reason to feel happy, and the list goes on and on.
When you get into that space, almost everything feels like a chore, like a downer, and like nothing will ever be right again.
At that point, you need to find the small pockets of joy. It doesn’t matter where you find them. From the smallest, seemingly most insignificant things to find joy in, to the larger things, notice what brings you a smile. If you can’t smile, check your breathing. Are you still breathing? Yes? Every time you take a breath, take it with joy. I am still here, I am still alive, I am still breathing. Thank you.
Then notice more things to be joyful about. Granted, some situations lack joy, and if you truly want to find a way past joylessness, and into a happier life, take one breath, then another, put one foot in front of the other, and begin to believe that you too are meant to live in joy.
