First snow fall of the year coincides with Solstice

After a couple of inces have fallen on the groun in Sooke, the weather warnings have all been lifted.
It should start clearing up overnight, with a low of 2 degrees. Tomorrow through to Thursday (Christmas Eve) are set to be sunny. The rain returns on Christmas Day, with a forecast high of 7 degrees.
Starting tonight, we gain one additional minute of daylight per day. YAY winter solstice!
