Mark your calendars for this free, life changing course, Tuesday, September 15 at 6pm. This free event is being held at the Vancouver Island Regional Library Sooke Branch, 2065 Anna Marie Road (behind the Home Hardware Store).
Come and bring your questions about our unique Organic Master Gardener Information Session in Sooke. Students have called it “life changing” — because once you truly understand the connection between soil health, plant health, human health and environmental health, you will look at the world with different eyes. This program is made possible thanks to the Sooke Region Learning Collaborative.
Customers can register online through the Royal Roads Continuing Education website or call the Royal Roads University Continuing Studies Office at 250-391-2511.[sam id=”15″ codes=”true”]Christina Nikolic is a trained landscape designer and organic gardener. She holds a certificate in organic land management from SOUL (Society for Organic Urban Land Care), where she also serves on the board of directors. Christina runs The Organic Gardener’s Pantry, selling fine fertilizers and soil amendments, and in the fall and winter she teaches at Gaia College, where she herself graduated from one of their first courses about ten years ago. If there’s any time left, you can find her in the garden, smiling while spreading mulch.
*The Sooke Region Learning Collaborative formed to increase the availability of continuing studies within Sooke, starting this fall. It is a joint venture between the Royal Roads Continuing Studies Department, Vancouver Island Regional Library, SEAPARC Leisure Complex, Sooke Region Chamber of Commerce and Edward Milne Community School Society.
