Fuel tanker crash narrowly averted: Early morning impaired driving charge assisted by public — 6 Comments

  1. To every one of us in Sooke: Please don’t be the next HWY 14 closure….its not that I don’t want you to get hurt, it is that I don’t want to be later than I already am to my next important thing, and I don’t want to speed..i just want to do the speed limit and get there on time…by all means harm yourself any way you wanna if it isn’t on our only road out of here.

  2. Hope ICBC comes up with a way to double fines for the dangerous drivers so they can reduce the insurance on the rest of us.
Almost got it yesterday where the 4 lanes end on Sooke Rd. A young driver roaring up trying to pass as many as he could then passed on the right and cut in where the lane ended making the rest of us swerve to prevent an accident. Then continued to tailgate. They need a cop right there!

    • Grin. I was waiting for that comment! It’s because I’m a team of one, so I rely heavily on creative commons open license photos, and this was what I could find. Good catch Mick! One day, when SPN does indeed “take over the world” (to quote The Brain as in Pinky-and-the-Brain), I’ll have a photography team, staging, and the equipment to do everything in house. Hope that clarifies things. -Britt/SPN
