We’re heard in bits and pieces that Port Renfrew will soon be getting its own gas station. It was reported back on December 2, 2016 by CTV Vancouver Island that an independent gas station was planned for Port Renfrew, with an anticipated opening in the mid to late 2017. The reality appears to be inching closer. By some reports, the pending gas station (brand unknown) is a Pacheedaht First Nation initiative.
Today (November 9, 2017), there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Port Renfrew. This is the only footage we found.

Port Renfrew is home to the Pacheedaht First Nation. It is also home to the annual Tall Tree Festival, Botanical Beach, campgrounds, and a number of fine businesses and getaways. Circle Route, which connects Port Renfrew to Cowichan, has increased tourism traffic to and through Port Renfrew, and a gas station will probably be a welcome addition.
