On January 8, 2019 at 12:43 p.m. the West Shore RCMP, RCMP Traffic Unit, BC Ambulance and Langford Fire Rescue responded a two-vehicle head on collision involving a blue Honda Pilot and silver Honda CRV.
The collision occurred on Highway 1 on an undivided curve between Leigh Road and West Shore Parkway. The drivers of both vehicles were the lone occupants and have been transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The RCMP Collision Analyst and investigators remain at scene to determine the cause of the collision. Highway 1 will remain closed near Leigh Road in both directions while the investigation is completed.
Traffic is being diverted by flagging crews through Langford Parkway to West Shore Parkway both north and sound bound.
“The cause of the collision is under investigation. We are asking for any witnesses of this collision to contact investigators,” says Cpl. Chris Dovell of the West Shore RCMP.
