As a RE/MAX realtor, Gunny Tennese knows a thing or two about moving. She herself has moved more than 80 times across five provinces and three countries.
“I finally got it right by moving to Sooke,” she laughs.
Gunny has been a Realtor for 30 years, more than half of those years with RE/MAX.
“I was happy to see that there’s a RE/MAX office right in Sooke. It’s been an easy transition,” she admits. “I certainly feel qualified to give my clients advice about buying or selling real estate.”
Gunny prides herself on her dedication and empathy with her clients. “They make the final decision; my job is to give informed, sound advice to help with that decision.”
Gunny also has a long history of giving back to her community as a volunteer. Her involvement started when her children were younger as a school-lunch Mom and progressed to many committees and boards. Most recently she’s been a weekly family services rep at the Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver and a frequent volunteer at VIFF.
“If I can do it, why wouldn’t I?” she says. “I’ve always believed that it’s a civic duty to help if you’re able.” In Sooke she’s joined the Lioness Club and for added exercise, a local hiking group.
Gunny and her husband Garry have twin daughters, two sons and two cats in their blended family. Their most recent acquisition is an older turquoise Westfalia, perfect for camping.
She has an office in her home in Heron View but can be found most days at the RE/MAX offices easily seen from West Coast Rd.
Her motto: If competence and experience matter to you, then “Go with Gunny.”
