Invasive weed removal, Ed Macgregor Park in Sooke, September 25 — 2 Comments

  1. First go around at Ed McGregor will be starting to remove ivy from live tree trunks. At the same time, a team will start removing the “spurge laurel” also known as “daphne”. (Daphne laureola).

Juan de Fuca Community Trails Society is very pleased to have the Green Team working with them in the Sooke area.

It took over ten years to get almost all the broom off the Whiffen Spit. It will take several years to clear most of the invasive plants from Ed McGregor Park.
