Regular SPN photographer John Penner sent his drone to the sky and captured this video of the 2019 Polar Swim, organized by the Otter Point Volunteer Fire Department. Speaking to officials nearing the end of the event, they said they had
117 swimmers registered.
Update: From John McCrea: “Final count was 128 registered. Not everyone signs the book so more than 130 swimmers went in the water.”
A tip of the hat to all the brave souls who braved the chilly waters! Here is John’s video, some of his photos, and an SPN gallery.
