A portion of the West Shore Parkway opens today.
At 10:00 am August 30, 2017, the City of Langford opens the middle 1.6 km long section of the West Shore Parkway between Commander Court and Highway 14 Sooke Road.
Still closed is the railway crossing area of the West Shore Parkway. If you access the Transcanada Highway via the new Leigh access route, you will still have to turn onto the Langford Parkway and access Jacklin Rd to get to Dunford and then Leigh.
The opening of the segment of road that crosses the railway is anticipated to open in early October.
The City asks that the public continue to stay out of active construction areas, obey all construction signs and Traffic Control Personnel.
