Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for West Vancouver Island. Using the Windy tool on the SPN weather page, it looks like heavy rainfall is expected for the western and northern parts of Vancouver Island, from Port Renfrew up.
From Environment Canada:
“Rain, at times heavy, is expected.
“A Pacific frontal system approaching West Vancouver Island, will produce heavy rainfall beginning early this afternoon. 100 mm of rain is expected over West Vancouver Island through Wednesday afternoon.
“Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
“Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #BCStorm.”
