Police are asking for the public’s assistance after a young dog, believed to be rare to the region, was stolen from its owner’s vehicle on September 22, 2017.
“Red”, a four-month-old Redbone Coonhound, may not answer to his name. His owner was away from the vehicle for a short time, just before noon, at Tillicum Centre mall. When he returned to the car the dog was gone.
Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the theft or has any information which may assist in with this investigation to please contact Saanich Police.

According to some social media posts, there have been some sightings. A reward is being offered. The dog’s original owner expects that the dog may have changed hands a few times, so no questions will be asked. They just want their fur baby back. Can you help?
