An approaching Pacific frontal system will bring strong winds locally to coastal sections of Vancouver Island this afternoon and evening.
For East Vancouver Island, southeast winds will rise to 60 to 80 km/h over northern sections early this afternoon then ease late in the evening.
For Greater Victoria, southeast winds will rise to 70 km/h near the water late this afternoon and persist through the evening.
High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
