The Sooke Car Show is growing to become a destination event. Hosted by the Sooke Fall Fair for the third year running, the Car Show is planning this summer for July 22. The Show will take place at the Sooke River Campground (also known as “The Flats”), and runs from 10am to 3pm. See their full post below.
Admission will be by donation, with all proceeds going to the Sooke Fall Fair (this year’s theme is “Plan-et Clean: Fresh Air at the Fall Fair,” and it is held on September 8 and 9).
This year, they will have 300 cars, vendors, and five food trucks (including the Sooke Lions). They are still accepting car registrations and vendor applications, and they also still need some people to volunteer. Volunteer shifts are only two hours long, to ensure everyone gets to see the show. To register, click here.
“Anne Butler has done a fantastic job garnering sponsorship for this year,” said Ellen Lewers, President of the Sooke Fall Fair and key organization of this event. “We’ve got some significant prizes.” The sponsors for this year’s event are listed on the poster below.
This year’s Sooke Car Show, just like the two years previously, will be a family-friendly event. There will be no alcohol on site, but there will be plenty of ice cream, burgers, fries, candy floss and popcorn.
