Spirit of a child yet solid as a rock.
It wasn’t long after I moved to Sooke that I heard of Phoebe and her dedicated involvement in the community. I was anxious to meet her after listening to her speak to some of the fellow gardeners at the Community Garden here in Sooke. Her voice is full of enthusiasm and has a child like spirit, which is very rare to see from someone.
She’s a Gem alright.
We finally connected and shared some stories about the days we used to both be at Edward Milne Community school; her as an administrator and me as a student. Rattling of familiar names brought us to a nice place of shared memories.
Phoebe shared a great piece of advice which was to accepting what IS. Don’t take life too seriously and wear yourself out by thinking you have to be doing so much. In fact by following this bit of wisdom you will be able to do more of the things you love and want to do.
I want to thank Phoebe for being an amazing individual among us and a rock for all of us to lean on and remember. You’re a Sparkling Gem, Phoebe!
