“We heard there were a couple questions floating around about the hall alerting system at Station #1, hopefully we can help answer them. Our hall alerting system notifies anyone in the building of an emergency call through our PA system.
“The system has been installed about 10 days now and we’re still making little adjustments. There is a speaker outside at the back, but it is on a timer and shuts off in the early evening until 8:30am. The speakers inside have adjustable volume.
“The station alerting system allows for a mass notification inside the building of an emergency. This allows for a much safer and controlled exit of visitors as everyone is aware a call has come in. We have had far too many children or public members in the station who needed to get out when we had to leave, but had trouble understanding why we were asking them to go so quickly.
“If anyone has anyone questions or concerns, please get in touch. We most certainly want to get out timely and accurate information on anything we do!”
