On March 23rd 2018, a Sooke resident attended the RCMP Detachment to report her wallet — complete with identification, $300 cash and credit cards — had been lost somewhere in French Beach.
The resident had been there exploring and enjoying the Park which is located in Shirley. She was advised to cancel her credit cards.
On March 28th, the resident attended the RCMP office to advise that her wallet — complete with all the cash, credit cards and identification — had been returned to her home in Sooke.
She was not there to accept it, the man, known only as “Tony from Victoria” left it with a house mate. Tony and his wife, had obtained her address from the identification and made the delivery in person.
The Sooke resident is overjoyed by the return of her wallet.
Tony left his phone number, so she was able to contact him and say thanks. She reports being inspired by this integral act, and so are we at the Sooke RCMP Detachment.
Thanks Tony and spouse from Victoria!
