Mark Sunday June 23rd on your calendar for “ Summer Music in the Park.“ Sooke Folk Music, with support from CRD Arts and Culture, has booked Ed MacGregor Park in Sooke for an all-day, family oriented, all ages, outdoor picnic-style music event on Sunday June 23 / 2019.
Pack up your umbrella and beach chairs, make a picnic basket or pick up some local food vendors fare and ice cream, and come for the afternoon … come early, set up your spot and then stroll the walkway down to the Rotary Pier and take in some of the amazing views of the Sooke Basin and the Olympics Mountains.
Then back up to the park for a full day of music featuring Heartwood (pictured below), Lisa Bosman & Sue Hansen (pictured above), a Youth Music Showcase featuring Anna & Adam, followed by Willis Taylor and finishing up with the Cajun Folk Band from Victoria, Bijoux de Bayou (pictured below). Music starts at 1pm and finishes up at around 530.
It’s free and The Sooke Folk Music Society will have an information tent set up with brochures and information about the Society.
