Registration is open for membership in Girl Guides in Sooke! Spots are currently available for all age groups.
Girl Guides offers fun and interesting programs for girls ages 5-17. At weekly meetings girls will make new friends while exploring arts, science, and the outdoors. They learn leadership skills and help to make a difference around the world with service projects. Older girls have the opportunity to enjoy a number of adventures around Canada and to travel on international service trips.
Harbours District (Sooke) Girl Guides are also very involved in their community. In the past few years we have volunteered at the Food Bank, organizing food drives, decorated bags for the Christmas Bureau food hampers, baked muffins for the Crisis Centre, cleaned up the shoreline of local beaches, held a book drive to supply books for the Sooke Literacy Book Bin program and assembled donated items into hygiene packs for local groups helping women in need.
