This article follows up on an earlier SPN article, Witnesses sought: youth beaten and robbed behind The Brick, May 30. -SPN
On May 30th 2019 at approximately 4:00 pm the West Shore RCMP were called to the scene of a robbery.
The complainant advised that her boyfriend had just been assaulted by a group of three males. The assault took place behind The Brick store located at 2945 Jacklin Rd in Langford.
The suspects, who are between the ages of 14-17, are alleged to have taken turns assaulting the 17 year old youth victim by beating him with a baton. They then robbed him of personal items including a wallet before leaving the scene.
The victim knew one of the suspects personally and was able to provide his identity to the police.
Police have since arrested two of the three suspects in this file and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the third suspect.

The outstanding suspect is described as:
- Caucasian male
- 14-17 years of age
- Dark shaggy hair
- Wearing grey skinny jeans and a white tee shirt (later removed and wearing no shirt)
- Wearing a dark burgundy colored baseball cap and back pack
- Last seen walking away near the McDonald’s on Langford Parkway
“This is a disturbing crime,” said Cst. SAGGAR, West Shore RCMP Media Relations Officer. “The victim was taken to the hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries. We have released the surveillance photos of the third suspect in hopes that someone will recognize this person and notify police of their identity. If you know who this is please come forward and speak to the police.”
