Do like to sew, knit, crochet, grow produce and flowers, and/or raise animals? Do you can your harvest, make jams and jellies, bake and more? Do you like to compete, or be part of the competition? Do you like the activity around decorating, arranging, organizing, and being a part of a great organization?
Then, you will want to be a part of the Sooke Fall Fair!
This is a fun-filled event, and great opportunity to volunteer, exercise your skills, and meet other like-minded folks.
This year the Something Fishy at the Sooke Fall Fair celebrates Canada 150, and we are also celebrating our 104th year as a community fair.
The team of volunteers and coordinators work mostly out of the Sooke Community Hall.
Our Fall Fair is September 9th & 10 this year. While it may seem light years away, it takes us a full year of preparation and activity to bring about this popular event.
We would love to hear from folks who have some time to share, and/or who would like to share their creativity and talents. We want to keep our fair a popular event from the very youngest to the eldest. Our current roster of entertainment and fun games include pony rides, pie eating, zucchini races, chicken bingo and more.
Come on out and be a part of the 104th annual Sooke Fall Fair!
Call Ellen Lewers at 250-812-2830 to volunteer and go to www.sookefallfair.ca to find out more about the fair.
PS: This year, we are also hosting our second Sooke Car Show at the Sooke River Campground, home of the former All Sooke Days. Our Car show is on July 23.
