UPDATE: THE ROAD IS NOW OPEN
CHEK News is reporting that the driver of the vehicle that drove into the house had a medical event. Read the CHEK article for details.
The West Shore RCMP are currently investigating a report of a vehicle driving into a home on the 2700 block of Sooke Rd in Langford.
There is a complete road closure on Sooke Rd in this area. Traffic on Sooke Rd is being diverted through Happy Valley Rd, and Luxton Rd. Please be patient while emergency crews are working to contain the leak. We do not have an estimated time as to when the road will re-open.
We can confirm there is a natural gas leak in the home that was struck by the vehicle. Hydro lines have also been damaged. Police have evacuated residents in the immediate vicinity.
