West Shore RCMP investigate hit-and-run that occurred late night Jan 5

The West Shore RCMP is currently investigating a report of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle. The collision occurred on January 5th, 2021, at approximately 11:15 p.m. A woman was walking through the crosswalk on Wishart Rd and Salton Dr when she was struck by a vehicle.
The woman suffered minor injuries and was helped by a bystander. The driver did not stop to check on the woman and drove away quickly up Salton Dr toward Stornoway Rd. Police canvassed the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
“The suspect vehicle is described as being a small 4-door car possibly blue in colour,” said Cst. Nancy Saggar, West Shore RCMP Media Relations Officer. “The vehicle licence plate is unknown. If you were the driver of this vehicle please do the right thing call us and identify yourself to the police, we need to talk to you.”
