Environment Canada continues to warn about strong winds in the Greater Victoria region, that may cause damages.
It looks like Sooke will continue to remain relatively sheltered from the stronger gusts. Sooke is expected to get heavy rainfalls, with rainfall amounts accumulating to around 12mm.
A strong cold front will approach the South Coast this evening. Ahead of the cold front, strong southeasterly winds of 70 gusting to 90 km/h will develop over exposed coastal sections and the southern sections of Howe Sound.
Winds will ease overnight as the cold front moves out of the region.
High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
